World Press Photo 09, exhibition in Barcelona
The World Press Photo exhibition, the acclaimed photojournalism contest, came this year, once again, the city of Barcelona. The prize is awarded by the field of photography devoted to documenting the reality of today.
This award is organized by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, which since 1995 selects the best photographs sent by newspapers and news agencies around the world to be tried by an international jury according to its category.
Latest news, sports, politics, economy, culture and nature are some of them, completing a retrospective of the most striking events of the year. In total, comprises 196 photographs in panels of 1.65 per 1.10 meters.
Let us not remember further that in the case of photographs depicting their knowledge of social problems should go beyond simple observation: only with an awareness of current reality we operate to achieve some kind of change.
For the fifth time in Barcelona, the show began on 11 November and continue until 13 December at the CCCB.
